Role Summary

You will perform skilled welding and fabrication duties. You must prepare surfaces, fit parts, and weld piping and structural components. You will work on carbon steel skid frames and chassis. You must follow blueprint specifications exactly. This job requires strong TIG or MIG welding skills and mechanical aptitude.

Key Responsibilities

You will handle steel preparation and welding processes:

• Weld piping and manifolds using TIG or MIG processes.
• Cut, grind, and drill holes in steel to meet blueprint specifications.
• Use a plasma cutter to cut steel plates and I-beams.
• Tack weld scrap metal to create assembly jigs.
• Position parts in the jig, then file, chisel, and grind them before welding.
• Anneal parts using an acetylene torch to relieve welding stress.

Requirements & Qualifications

To be the ideal candidate, you should meet these standards:

• Experience: You must have 2 to 4 years of TIG or MIG welding experience.
• Skills: You must be able to weld carbon steel structural shapes and skid frames.
• Position: You can weld from all angles and positions.
• Physical Demand: You must lift 50+ lbs frequently. You must be able to stoop, crouch, bend, climb, and kneel.
• Aptitude: Mechanical aptitude is required.
