Role Summary

You will be a hands-on leader on the shop floor. You will oversee all shop personnel and schedule production. You must drive efficiency, safety, and quality standards. You will perform individual tasks and work alongside your team members. This position reports directly to the plant manager.

Key Responsibilities

You will manage production flow and team performance:

• Maintain the production schedule to meet all monthly volume goals.
• Set priorities to ensure a smooth flow of product from start to finish.
• Perform quality checks on production processes.
• Ensure the shop floor stays organized and clean.
• Work with departments like maintenance, quality, and safety to coordinate efforts.
• Enforce all company policies, procedures, and safety rules.
• Store and retrieve production data as required.
• Implement new methods to eliminate waste and maintain quality standards.
• Support the team through coaching, training, and development.

Requirements & Qualifications

To be the ideal candidate, you should meet these standards:

• Leadership: Minimum 3 years of leadership experience is required.
• Industry Knowledge: 5+ years of knowledge in standards (DOT, ASME, ISO) is preferred, but training is available.
• Physical Demand: You must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs consistently.
• Technical Skills: Experience with mechanical tools, air tools, and overhead cranes is preferred.
• Knowledge: A working understanding of Lean Manufacturing and ISO standards is helpful. Welding knowledge is a bonus.
